Speed Skate Sharpening Membership Agreement

Thank you for joining the Salty Gold Edge Club with Salty Gold Supply Co. We are excited to help keep your speed skates performing their best throughout the season.

This membership is designed to make regular speed-skate maintenance simple, affordable, and convenient while keeping clear guidelines in place for how the program works.

IMPORTANT MEMBERSHIP BILLING, RENEWAL, AND CANCELLATION DISCLOSURE

The Salty Gold Edge Club is $20 per month per registered pair of speed skates, plus any applicable taxes.

Your membership begins with a required three-month commitment. You authorize Salty Gold Supply Co. to charge your selected payment method $20 per month for the initial three-month period, for a total initial commitment of $60, plus any applicable taxes and separately approved service charges.

After the initial three-month commitment, your membership automatically continues month-to-month unless you cancel it. Your payment method will be charged $20, plus any applicable taxes, on your monthly billing date.

To cancel after the initial three-month commitment, Salty Gold Supply Co. must receive your cancellation request at least five business days before your next billing date. Cancellation requests may be made in person or by email at Mary.DeBoer@SaltyGoldSupply.com.

A cancellation request received fewer than five business days before the next billing date may not take effect until the following billing cycle. A cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund a payment that has already been processed.

1. What Your Membership Includes

Your monthly Salty Gold Edge Club membership includes:

• Two standard speed-skate sharpenings per month.

This membership covers one registered pair of speed skates only.

Unused sharpenings do not roll over into future months.

Standard sharpening includes routine edge maintenance only. It does not include rocker work, bending, blade alignment, blade mounting, replacement parts, or other repair or specialty services.

2. Speed Skate Drop-Off and Pick-Up

Speed skates must be dropped off for service and picked up the following day unless Salty Gold Supply Co. confirms another arrangement in advance.

Because speed-skate sharpening requires careful, precise work, same-day service is not guaranteed. Please plan ahead before practices, races, camps, competitions, or travel.

3. One Membership Per Pair of Speed Skates

Each membership is valid for one specific pair of speed skates. If you would like coverage for more than one pair, each pair must have its own separate subscription.

Memberships cannot be shared between siblings, friends, teammates, or other family members.

4. Additional Blade Work

Sometimes speed skates come in with nicks, rust, bends, blade damage, alignment concerns, or other issues that require work beyond a standard sharpening. If we notice an issue that needs additional attention, we will let you know before completing the work.

With your approval, the following additional services are available to Edge Club members:

• Minor repair work for small nicks, light rust, minor blemishes, or light blade damage: $10
• Major repair work for significant rust, major nicks, bends, blade damage, or more extensive blade concerns: $12
• Rocker and bend work: $80
• Elite edge or specialty blade work: $20
• New speed-skate blade preparation: $10 additional fee

New speed-skate blades often require additional preparation before regular sharpening can be completed. This may include establishing a clean, consistent edge and addressing the initial condition of the blades. The $10 new-blade preparation fee applies because this work takes additional time and care.

5. Approval for Additional Charges

No additional charges will be added without your approval. We want you to know exactly what your speed skates need before any work outside of your membership benefits is completed.

6. Monthly Membership Period and Renewal

Your monthly membership period begins on your original billing date and ends immediately before your next scheduled billing date.

Membership benefits renew each month while the subscription remains active. Your billing date will be listed in your enrollment confirmation or receipt.

This membership does not include a free trial period.

7. Cancellation After the Initial Commitment

The Salty Gold Edge Club requires an initial three-month commitment.

After the third monthly payment has been completed, you may cancel the membership at any time by contacting Salty Gold Supply Co. in person or by email at Mary.DeBoer@SaltyGoldSupply.com.

To avoid the next scheduled monthly charge, Salty Gold Supply Co. must receive your cancellation request at least five business days before your next billing date.

Cancellation ends future renewals but does not provide a refund for membership charges already processed or services already available during a paid membership period.

8. Non-Transferable Membership

This membership is non-transferable and may only be used for the speed skates registered under the subscription.

Any misuse of the membership, including attempting to use it on a different pair of speed skates, may result in suspension or cancellation of membership benefits.

9. Membership Terms and Customer Responsibility

By joining the Salty Gold Edge Club, you agree to the following terms:

• The membership may only be used for the registered pair of speed skates.
• Payment will be automatically withdrawn once per month using the payment method on file.
• The membership has an initial three-month minimum commitment.
• After the initial three-month commitment, the plan may be cancelled at any time, provided Salty Gold Supply Co. receives the cancellation request at least five business days before the next billing date.
• Standard sharpening is the only service included with the membership.
• Rocker work, bend work, blade mounting, blade alignment, repairs, and specialty services are additional charges and require customer approval.
• Salty Gold Supply Co. reserves the right to verify that the speed skates being serviced are the skates enrolled in the membership.
• Salty Gold Supply Co. may update membership terms, pricing, or service details as needed. Members will receive at least 30 days’ notice before a change to the monthly membership price takes effect.

10. Agreement and Liability Disclaimer

By purchasing this subscription, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the Salty Gold Edge Club membership terms.

Salty Gold Supply Co. is committed to handling every pair of speed skates with exceptional care and professional attention while they are in our possession. We take pride in providing skilled sharpening and blade-maintenance service and in treating each pair of skates as carefully as possible throughout the service process.

However, speed-skate blades may have existing wear, rust, bends, twists, cracks, weakened steel, hidden damage, manufacturing defects, prior sharpening issues, blade-mounting concerns, alignment concerns, or other conditions that may not be visible before service begins. Sharpening, edge restoration, bend work, rocker work, blade alignment, and repair work may reveal or worsen pre-existing conditions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Salty Gold Supply Co. is not responsible for:

• Pre-existing wear, hidden defects, rust, cracks, bends, twists, damage, or prior blade alterations;
• Blade damage or breakage caused by pre-existing conditions, ordinary wear, manufacturing defects, improper prior sharpening, improper mounting, misuse, or accidents;
• Changes in skating feel, edge preference, rocker preference, blade alignment, performance, or personal satisfaction after service;
• Injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of speed skates after service; or
• Damage that occurs after speed skates leave Salty Gold Supply Co.’s care.

Customers are responsible for inspecting their speed skates, blades, and mounting hardware before use and for determining whether their equipment is appropriate for their own skating needs.
